Why preparation matters before you travel
Getting married in Morocco from Canada involves preparation in more than one country. Documents obtained Canada may need to be prepared in a particular way before travel, while other arrangements must be completed in Morocco. Starting with a generic online checklist can leave important gaps because one person’s experience may not apply to another couple.
Correct preparation is not only about possessing documents. Names, dates, formats, validity periods, translations and any required authentication must work together. Discovering a problem after flights and appointments have been arranged can create delay, additional expense and unnecessary stress.
Why there is no single universal checklist
Requirements may differ according to nationality, birthplace, current residence, previous marriage, name history, employment circumstances and where individual documents were issued. The Moroccan partner’s circumstances also matter. The intended marriage city, local district and court can affect the way the complete file should be prepared.

If you continue with In-Person Assistance, we meet you in Rabat and organise the required local steps, court-certified Arabic translations and complete marriage file. Regardless of where in Morocco you intend to marry, required documents and legalisation steps must be obtained from ministry and government offices in Rabat, and we assist with that process.
