It is important for Australian citizens intending to marry a Moroccan citizen in Morocco to gather the required documents before coming to Morocco.
It is solely your responsibility to ensure that all necessary papers you bring from your country are correct. Marriage in Morocco shall not assume any responsibility or liability for the adoul’s requirements or any legal implications arising from the use of your documents. You must check with your adoul if they require any of your government issued documents to have additional apostle attached or be notarised.
While we have compiled a list of standard documents typically required for foreigners getting married in Morocco, it’s crucial to recognize that the requirements may vary depending on the city you will get married. You must contact an Adoul in the city you plan to marry to confirm the required documents for that city. Click here for more information.
