Delays obtaining the UK ACRO Police Certificate for Marriage in Morocco

The ACRO Police Certificate online service, accessible at https://www.acro.police.uk, has been unavailable for the past few weeks due to a cyber security incident. There is currently no information regarding when it will be restored.

Nevertheless, they are still accepting and processing applications for the ACRO Police Certificate through manual means, specifically via email.

To obtain your ACRO Police Certificate, you need to send an email to Policecertificateapp@acro.police.uk and request the application form. Upon receiving your email, they will send an automated reply with further instructions on how to apply, including how to submit the application form and make the necessary payment.

Given that the online service is inaccessible, payments can only be made through bank transfer to their designated account. The payment instructions will be provided to you, and it is crucial to use the correct reference number as advised.

ACRO has informed applicants that the current minimum waiting time is 15 working days. Unfortunately, the fast track 2-day service is not available at this time.

Please be aware that there might be additional delays if your application is incomplete or if ACRO needs to verify further details from your submission. Since ACRO is manually processing a large number of applications, these circumstances could cause additional delays.

To avoid any complications, it is strongly recommended that you apply for this document well in advance, as it is a mandatory requirement for getting married in Morocco.
